Take Fairview On Trawalla for example. Every two years “Trawalla”, the largest Pecan Nut Farm in the Southern Hemisphere, is host to Fairview’s fantastic fundraising event! The venue is absolutely stunning – what better way to enjoy the day than sipping complimentary champagne and canapés on arrival; mingling with friends under the canopy of the magnificent Pecan trees and listening to the wonderful sounds of live entertainment. All funds raised on the day, including ticket sales, raffle and auction, are donated to Fairview Retirement Village.
The Fairview Fete is another classic example of one of our successful community events. Local family and friends venture out and enjoy the ‘carnival like’ event, browsing among the ever-popular stalls, participating in fun activities and listening to live local entertainment (previously including the Moree Band, Moree Pipe Band and St Philomena’s School Choir). To top that off, fabulous food, be it from the BBQ or local stalls, makes the day complete. Attendees can enjoy guided tours of the Fairview Premises and it’s redevelopments, showing exactly where our fundraising dollars are being spent.
Art for Heart’s Sake is an exhibition displaying artworks by The Fairview Artists Group. This exhibition is to publicly celebrate the work of artists-in-residence at Fairview throughout the year, with friends, family and the local community welcome and encouraged to support the art program. Paintings by Fairview Artists are available for sale as well as prizes on the day. Your attendance at Art for Hearts Sake will support our artists in two important ways; it will provide us with the funds to purchase paints and papers for the year following, but more importantly, it will give wonderful encouragement to the Fairview Artists!
